The average hourly rate is £15.25. Of course you can always go higher to attract more freelancers. We have seen that gigs with a higher rate generally get more reactions. If you have a gig that isn't as popular as you'd hoped or last-minute, slightly raise the rate to get more reactions. Just like flights and hotels, last-minute staff can be a costly demand!
A breakdown of this hourly rate is as follows:
- £12 per hour is the minimum rate that our freelancers will receive for their work, this rate goes directly to them
- £3.00 per hour worked covers YoungOnes' operational fee
- £0.25 per hour worked covers the freelancer's insurance (read below)
During our expansion to the UK, YoungOnes introduced an insurance scheme to make sure businesses like yours cover the freelancers while at work. We have partnered with Onsi and created a liability and accidents insurance for an additional £0.25 per hour.
